Together with the “Rinascimento” velvet, the “Giardinetto” was used in the 1930s to furnish the hall of the transatlantic liner “Conte di Savoia”. In 1939 the Household of Her Majesty the Queen Empress (presumably Elena of Montenegro, wife of Vittorio Emanuele III of Savoy) ordered 29 meters.
