The historical archive of the Tessitura preserves a letter from 1935 by Maja Sjöstrom, in which the artist asks if there is still a stock of this damask to sell to the Swedish Legation in Rome [Source: Historical archive section 1905-1945, correspondence, letter 1946]. In 1957 the Swedish ambassador Eric Von Post orders a supply of the same fabric, asking for a slight chromatic variation compared to the previous one, which was probably the one supplied in 1935 [Source: Historical archive section 1946-1988, correspondence, n. 60]
