In the upper part of the frame, the wooden structure of the loom houses the Jacquard machines that control the pile and background threads through heddles and eyelets; in the lower part, at the one end, there are the bobbins that keep the warp taut, while at the other end the operator's station that advances the punch cards with the pedals and works on the fabric.
