The velvet, of which unfortunately no historical sample is preserved in the Tessitura, has a decorative motif formerly called “griccia”. At the Tessitura, a reproduction of a similar design is on display, present in the Basilica of Recanati. With this velvet, the curtain for the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome was produced by the Tessitura in 1929.
