The historical archive of the Tessitura preserves a telegram from 1938, in which Pericle Roseo asks for information on the “red velvet with a design of senatorial dogal stoles” [Source: Historical archive, section 1905-1945, correspondence, letter 3030/1]. A photograph taken at Palazzo Labia in 1951 and preserved in the Tessitura portrays Leonardo di Lazara Pisani wearing a dress made with this velvet.
