This velvet, designed by the architect Carl G. Bergsten, was used to cover the walls of the city theatre in Gothenburg. The historical archive contains various letters relating to the production process of the fabric, from the supply of samples to more technical issues, such as the choice of the fireproof preparation to apply to the fabric. Finally, from a letter dated 6 September 1933, we learn that the architect Bergsten had given his authorization to the Tessitura to exhibit the “Isabella” velvet at the Venice Biennale.
