Ala Littoria airline
This velvet was made in the late 1930s, designed by the architect Mario Romano, for the headquarters of the airline Ala Littoria. It was then exhibited in Venice in the 1995 exhibition “Venice and the Biennale, itineraries of taste”. [See Doretta Davnzo Poli, Il genio della tradizione, p. 134]. Furthermore, the halls of the Giovanni Nicelli airport were furnished with this fabric.
